Veteran all-rounder Sean Williams finds a place in Zimbabwe’s squad for the T20I series against Sri Lanka, beginning on September 3.
The 38-year-old last featured in the format for Zimbabwe in May 2024 against Bangladesh. The team will also include former skipper Brendran Taylor who recently made a comeback during the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
Newman Nyamhuri, Wessly Madhevere, Vincent Masekesa, and Tafadzwa Tsiga are the names missing from the team’s previous T20I assignment in the tri-series against New Zealand and South Africa.
The series will precede the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier, which begins later this month in Harare.
