After years of horrible booking decisions in the 2010s, WWE started to pull themselves out of the mire in the 2020s. A lot of that had to do with them hitting a homerun with the Bloodline drama, but despite the improvements, there was still one big black eye on the company: Vince McMahon. He was the one seen as holding the company back, and after his sex scandal he was finally forced out of WWE. Fans were hopeful when Endeavor bought WWE. They already owned UFC, which was doing very well, and best of all, they put Triple H in charge of booking.
Things went rather well for WWE, with better shows leading to higher attendance and ratings. Slowly, however, the honeymoon has come to an end for a variety of reasons. Now TKO and WWE have made one of their worst decisions of all. With the recent shocking news that WrestleMania 42, already scheduled for New Orleans, was being dropped, reportedly to go back to Las Vegas again, TKO and WWE are showing they don’t care about you. All that matters to them is profit.

WWE Has Had A Lot Of Bad Publicity Lately
Triple H & TKO Aren’t So Perfect After All
- WWE was doing very well going into WrestleMania 40.
- After the Netflix deal, WWE has lacked in show quality.
- WWE hurt themselves with Donald Trump praise, buying AAA, and raising ticket prices.
WWE was red-hot going into WrestleMania 40 last year. Business was booming better than ever, and the on-screen product was great too, with storylines more interesting and titles meaning more. It also helped that WWE had found the next face of the company in Cody Rhodes. The momentum couldn’t have stayed that high forever, but what is surprising is how fast WWE has fallen off. It almost feels like WWE got the bag from Netflix and stopped trying.
There have been plenty of negative stories about WWE lately. It was revealed that they’re not treating their corporate employees well. Ticket prices have skyrocketed, making shows unaffordable for families, while fun house shows have become a thing of the past. Sponsors are all over the ring mats, making them look ugly, and WrestleMania 41 felt like a big commercial. WrestleMania 41 weekend was a strange one. Triple H and Roman Reigns were praising Donald Trump in interviews, WWE bought AAA, and the show itself had a hugely disappointing end with the disaster that was Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena. It’s hard not to think that the new regime is putting profit over product. WWE has become rather boring in the past few months, but does TKO even care?

WWE Is Moving WrestleMania 42 To Las Vegas
The Rock Announced That WrestleMania 42 Would Be In New Orleans
- A logo was made for WrestleMania 42 in New Orleans.
- New Orleans’ tourism will take a big hit because of the decision.
- New Orleans is getting Money in the Bank in 2026.
Back in February, when The Rock returned to WWE for his purposeless run, he showed up on SmackDown in New Orleans to announce to the crowd that WrestleMania 42 would be in New Orleans next year. The crowd roared, and fans at home approved. WrestleMania has been in New Orleans a few times before and the Superdome is a legendary stadium. WWE even had a logo made, but on May 22, out of the blue, everything changed.
An exclusive report from Wrestlenomics revealed that WrestleMania 42 would no longer be in New Orleans. This came from an article published by NOLA.com, which said:
“World Wrestling Entertainment has canceled the WrestleMania event that was scheduled to be held in New Orleans in April 2026, leaving a big hole in the city’s hospitality calendar next year, city tourism officials said Thursday.”
Fightful Select confirmed this as well. New Orleans did get Money in the Bank for next year, and they’re hoping to get a WrestleMania in the future, but the Show of Shows won’t be there in 2026.

The shocking location for the 2026 Royal Rumble has leaked, exposing a lie from WWE President Nick Khan.
WrestleMania 42 Is Going Back To Las Vegas
TKO Doesn’t Care About WWE Fans
- WrestleMania 41 was in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium this year.
- TKO already does a lot of business with the UFC in Las Vegas.
- TKO is breaking WWE tradition with different host cities.
Speculation then began about what happened and where WrestleMania 42 would land. Indianapolis has a deal with WWE to host the three biggest WWE PLEs. The Royal Rumble was just there, so would WWE go back to Lucas Oil Stadium? TKO and WWE angered a lot of fans after announcing that next year’s Royal Rumble would be in Saudi Arabia. Oh God, would they have WrestleMania there too?! Nope. The answer is rather boring. WrestleMania 42 is going to be in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium for the second year in a row. NOLA.com said:
“After the success of this year’s event, the new leadership running WWE decided that they would rather hold next year’s event in Las Vegas and see what response they get from fans, according to an industry official who wasn’t authorized to be quoted by name.”
TKO loves Las Vegas with how often the UFC is there. WWE isn’t UFC though. WrestleMania is held somewhere new every year, just like the Super Bowl, but WWE doesn’t care about tradition. They’re only looking at how much money they can get, and they don’t care if it upsets you, and they don’t care if it hurts others. It is already hurting other wrestling-related companies, as Fightful Select reported:
“There was immediate frustration within the industry. A number of sources indicated that Wrestlecon had already signed their venue contract for New Orleans. We haven’t been told of any other promoters that had already signed deals, but it has been normal practice to start negotiating for venues almost a full year ahead.”
The goodwill TKO created with wrestling fans has been destroyed bit by bit. Whatever wave of success WWE was on is starting to crumble. How bad is it getting? Some fans are now on social media wishing that Vince McMahon was back. While that is the last thing WWE needs, at least he cared about the product sometimes. TKO is all about the money they can make. Tradition is done. But if WWE fans don’t feel like TKO cares about them, the lapsed ones who returned will abandon them all over again.
