WrestleMania 43 Confirmed for Saudi Arabia in 2027

Summary

  • WrestleMania 43 will be in Saudi Arabia in 2027 — first WrestleMania outside America.
  • Saudi adviser Turki Alalshikh leaked the news; PWInsider confirmed and official reveal due Friday.
  • WWE already ran Saudi shows; 2026 Royal Rumble is in Riyadh — more firsts outside North America.

It appears that the location for WrestleMania 43 has been announced, and it’s a first in WWE history. The biggest event of the year will be taking place outside North America. In Saudi Arabia, to be exact. This is according to Saudi Arabian adviser Turki Alalshikh.

Saudi Arabian Adviser Shares The News On Snapchat Live

On Wednesday afternoon, a video of Alalshikh making the announcement made its rounds on social media, and it caused fans to wonder if it was true. There have been rumors in the past that WrestleMania was going to take place in the country. The rough translation of Alalshikh’s announcement, per Sports Illustrated, is the following:

“WrestleMania has been announced, for the first time outside of America, WrestleMania in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2027.”

The news appears to be true. Mike Johnson of PWInsider has confirmed the news to be real. Johnson also shared that Alalshikh accidentally shared the news before it was scheduled, and there was a press release that was given out in Arabic earlier in the day, but was pulled not long after it was sent out. Johnson wrote:

“It was apparently sent out accidentally before it was scheduled to be publicly issued. PWInsider.com can confirm, however, that the story is 100% legitimate and an announcement is coming very soon.”

Meanwhile, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, has revealed when the announcement will be disclosed to the public. According to Sapp, the official announcement will come as soon as this upcoming Friday. It will likely be announced when TKO promotes the boxing match between Terence Crawford and Canelo Álvarez. The event is being sponsored by Riyadh Season.

WWE Has A History With Saudi Arabia

As noted, the 2026 Royal Rumble PLE is going to be in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It will be the first time the January PLE will take place outside of North America. So that will be another first for WWE, and a year before WrestleMania 43. WrestleMania 42 is set to take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at Allegiant Stadium. It was originally going to be New Orleans.

WWE has been doing events in Saudi Arabia for some time now. The first event was the one-off special, The Greatest Royal Rumble, on April 27, 2018, in Jeddah. After that, WWE started doing Crown Jewel and WWE Super ShowDown events. The latest WWE event was Night of Champions on June 28, 2025, and that took place at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The main event at the time was then-WWE Champion John Cena defeating CM Punk.

Other WWE events that have taken place in the Middle Eastern country were the 2022 Elimination Chamber PLE and the 2024 King and Queen of the Ring event. The same year, SmackDown and RAW took place at the Jeddah Super Dome and the Mohammed Abdo Arena. While this year, the June 27, 2025, episode of SmackDown was at the Kingdom Arena. So even though WWE has a history in Saudi Arabia, the news about WrestleMania 43 is still shocking!
