Woman in Vince McMahon horror crash says she’s lucky to be alive after being ‘catapulted’ – at same time Hulk Hogan died

A WOMAN involved in a car crash along with Vince McMahon has said she feels lucky to be alive after being “catapulted”.

The former WWE chief’s Bentley was wrecked in the horror three-car collision, which took place at the same time wrestling legend Hulk Hogan died.

The accident happened at around 9am on Thursday in Connecticut, US.

This is believed to be the same time that wrestling icon Hulk Hogan passed away.

A crash report has revealed that the crash happened as McMahon, 79, was driving northbound on Route 15 in Westport.

The car smashed into the back of a BMW before colliding with a guardrail, TMZ reported.

No one was fortunately injured i the crash – and the WWE boss walked away unscathed.

Barbara Doran, who was also involved in the collision, has now broken her silence, saying she feels “lucky to have survived the crash”.

Ms Doran said McMahon’s BMW slammed into her car at “90mph”.

She wrote on Facebook: “Lucky to have survived a horrific car crash on the way up to catch the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard last Thursday morning.

“McMahon hit me going 80-90mph as I drove in the right lane of the narrow Merritt Highway.

“I was as lucky to have kept control of the car, more or less, as I shot off the road after being catapulted over 100 yards.”

“McMahon saw me last minute and swerved, smashing into my left rear, but that if he had hit me full on, there might’ve been a very different ending for me.

“Oddly, Hulk Hogan, who made McMahon’s fame and fortune, died about the same time as the accident.”

Doran’s BMW was left with a lot of damage on the front right side, as a wheel had been ripped off.

The collision was so powerful that debris from the collision flew into the other lane of the highway.

This caused damage to a third vehicle, a Ford, that was driving southbound.

And the airbags on both McMahon’s Bentley and Doran’s BMW were deployed.

Later that day, McMahon was mourning the death of Hogan as he led tributes on social media.

Hours after the crash, he penned a public statement on the Hall of Famer that was released for fans.

It read: “The world lost a treasure today.

“Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME, someone who was loved and admired around the world

“He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon.

“His grit and unbridled thirst for success were unparalleled – and made him the consummate performer.

“He gave everything he had to the audience whom he appreciated, respected and loved.”

McMahon will be appearing in court next month, having been issued a misdemeanour summons for reckless driving and following too closely.
