When is India-Pakistan clash in Asia Cup 2025?


The Asia Cup – the inter-continental men’s T20 cricket championship – will be played from September 9 to 28 in the United Arab Emirates.

India and Pakistan are likely to face each other thrice, with the first confirmed match to be played on September 14 in Dubai.

Mohsin Naqvi, the Asian Cricket Council, confirmed the window and the venue of the tournament, to be hosted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India at a neutral venue, in a social media post. The ACC then announced the detailed fixtures on Saturday evening.

While India, Pakistan, UAE and Oman are clubbed together in Group A, Group B will see Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and Hong Kong.

The tournament will be played in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. After the preliminary clash between India and Pakistan on September 14, both the teams will take each other on against the following Sunday (September 21), unless either team fails to progress to the Super Fours.

The eight-team tournament will witness two groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the Super Fours stage, with the top two facing each other in the final.

The groups:
Group A:

India, Pakistan, UAE, Oman.

Group B:

Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Hong Kong.
