The new WWE and Netflix docuseries, WWE: Unreal, has opened the curtain on what is going on behind the scenes of one of the biggest sports entertainment businesses. It’s not surprising that the backstage scenes can be even more dramatic than what’s going on in the ring.

WWE Has Heavily Edited Charlotte Flair And Tiffany Stratton’s SmackDown Segment
If you were still unconvinced this went off the rails, here’s your evidence.
One particular moment that caused problems was the April 4 SmackDown in-ring segment between Tiffany Stratton and Charlotte Flair ahead of their WrestleMania 41 match. Stratton brought up Flair’s personal life and her three divorces. She said:
“You might be Queen inside of the ring, but outside of the ring, you ain’t the Queen of s–t. When I beat you at WrestleMania, Charlotte, you are going to be just like you are outside of the ring, alone. What is that record? 0-3? Woooo!”
In the ‘WrestleMania’ titled episode of the Netflix Original series, it showed the backstage reaction between SVP of Creative Writing Ed Koskey and Triple H over Tiffany going off the script. Koskey is seen telling Triple H that Charlotte is upset over the comments. He said:
“Apparently, it was the divorce line that sent her over the edge. She’s upset. It obviously wasn’t written in the promo.”
Triple H replied to Koskey that Stratton would need to apologize to Flair. He said:
“I need Tiffany to understand that’s obviously not how we do this. So, she needs to go to Charlotte and apologize, and they need to get on the same page.”

Charlotte Flair Praised Tiffany Stratton After Their WrestleMania 41 Match
Later in the same episode, the cameras show that there was no bad blood between Tiffany and Charlotte. After Stratton successfully retained the WWE Women’s Championship against Flair, Flair is seen backstage praising her.
“Yeah, it was good. Yeah, I think she has a super bright future. She’s a star.”
As of this writing, Stratton still holds the title, and her next big title defense will be against Jade Cargill at SummerSlam 2025. Flair is also on the SummerSlam card, and she is teaming with Alexa Bliss to face the current WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez. The first-ever two-night premium live event is set for August 2 and August 3.
