The 26-year-old Kalinskaya may well lead the WTA Tour in generating interest from ATP stars, too.
Kalinskaya, who previously dated Jannik Sinner after a brief relationship with Nick Kyrgios, shared one former ATP Top 10 player hit on her about 10 times through Instagram messages.
Speaking to former WTA standout Anna Chakvetadze on the First and Red podcast, Kalinskaya revealed Holger Rune repeatedly sent her direct messages via Instagram asking her out.
Asked by Chakvetadze if ATP pros have asked her out, Kalinskaya outed Rune as repeatedly hitting on her.
“Tennis players, more often before… Now that I’m older, I don’t know, for some there is no chance!” Kalinskaya said “There is no need to write…
“A tennis player wrote to me about 10 times and then gave up,” Kalinskaya shared. “I will say who he is now: Holger Rune. He writes to everyone. It is thought to be too important…Maybe Holger Rune is just desperate, but he’s not the only one who has written to me.”
For his part, the now 11th-ranked Rune disputed Kalinskaya’s story playing the “cultural differences” card to explain their online exchange.
