The Big Show is one of the most dominant and intimidating WWE Superstars of all time, and only a few men have ever come close to standing up to him. The Great Khali was one of those people. The WWE Hall of Famer was in a unique position where he could match the World’s Largest Athlete in terms of size and power.

A WWE locker room can be a volatile environment. The following are the craziest moments that have taken place in WWE locker rooms.
The two men might’ve been in rare company as giants in WWE, but that didn’t mean that they got along. The two men weren’t close and infamously were involved in a backstage fight of epic proportions. Over the years, many people have weighed in regarding their legitimate fight, and The Great Khali himself has claimed that he managed to draw tears out of his rival.
The Big Show And The Great Khali Had Legtimate Heat
- The two men had ‘giant heat’ as the WWE roster nicknamed it
- Big Show was annoyed at The Great Khali stealing one of his moves
- The two men couldn’t get on the same page
Fans might have thought that The Big Show and The Great Khali would have been close due to their shared experiences with their size, but that wasn’t the case, and a big reason for that was because the latter kept stealing one of Big Show’s classic moves, and Show ended up becoming sick of it.
The Big Show was well known for hitting massive chops in the corner of the ring, often urging the crowd to be silent before he delivered the move to ensure it was as impactful as possible. While The Great Khali didn’t add that touch, he did use the move regularly, despite The Big Show asking him not to do it.
Eventually, their issues spilled out of control, and The Big Show confronted The Great Khali about his use of the chops. The two men engaged in a legitimate fight over the issue, which went on to become one of the most infamous backstage brawls of all time due to the sizes of the fighters in question.

One of the WWE Superstars who saw the epic battle between The Big Show and The Great Khali was Chris Jericho. The one time Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah shared details about it in his book The Best In The World: At What I Have No Idea, where he broke down how the fight came to its conclusion, with Khali getting the best of the situation.
“Now, if we were judging by the rules of a hockey fight, then yes, Show lost, but from where I was standing, it was an impressive back-and-forth scrap. Show might not have lost the battle, but he definitely lost the war when Vince made him apologize to Khali for throwing the first punch during a closed-door meeting a few days later.”
Jericho’s retelling was entertaining, and he even revealed that The Big Show apologized to his giant rival for throwing a punch, proving that he regretted his part in the situation.

The Great Khali doesn’t often give interviews about his time in the business, but the WWE Hall of Famer did speak with The Lallantop about his 2009 fight with The Big Show. However, he told a slightly different story than Jericho did, which included him making The Big Show cry in this moment.
“I started saying things back to him. I took off my shoe, and then he came to punch me. I leaned back. I got up and leaned again for the second punch. When I punched him, he got knocked down and I got on top of him. After 2-3 punches, all the people in the locker room pulled us apart. Afterward, he started crying. He thought he could impress the young talent by taking me out, but it backfired on him.”
Whether or not The Big Show was legitimately left in tears will only ever be known by those who got to experience this titanic fight in person. However, it does show that the action within the ring often spills out backstage as professional wrestlers have no problem taking matters into their own hands.
