T20 World Cup 2026 final to be held at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad

The final of the T20 World Cup 2026, hosted by India and Sri Lanka, will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, according to news reports on Tuesday.

The title clash during the 2023 ODI World Cup was also held at the venue. However, if Pakistan qualifies for the contest, the final will be played in Colombo. Pakistan had refused to travel to India citing diplomatic tensions. India had also not travelled to Pakistan during the Champions Trophy 2025, and played its games in Dubai.

The reports added that the tournament will be played across atleast five venues in India and two venues in Sri Lanka. The final list of venues is yet to be confirmed.

The tournament, comprising 20 teams, is expected to be played from February 7 to March 8. The 20 teams will be divided across four groups of five teams each, with the top two advancing to the Super Eight stage. Four teams from that stage will advance to the semifinals.
