The speculation is over. Roman Reigns got his wish, and he will be officially facing Bronson Reed at Clash in Paris PLE. WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce revealed the news on Wednesday.
Adam Pearce Announces Roman Reigns Versus Bronson Reed
WWE’s official X account shared a video of the RAW GM’s announcement. Pearce didn’t mince words when it came to how Reed had been disrespecting the OTC. He said:
“Look, if you have paid attention at all, you’ve seen how things have gone down between Roman Reigns and ‘Big’ Bronson Reed. Bronson said it himself: Every time he’s in the same place at the same time as the OTC, he leaves the man laying and takes his shoes. Where I’m from, that’s disrespect. And we’re going to find out if that disrespect continues at Clash in Paris because it will be ‘Big’ Bronson Reed one-on-one with Roman Reigns. After all, it’s like the old saying goes, if the shoe fits…”
For weeks now, Reed has been stealing Reigns’ shoes. The Vision member even went as far as to walk out with Reigns’ opponent, Bron Breakker, wearing Reigns’ expensive shoes around his neck at SummerSlam. On this past Monday’s episode of RAW, Reigns returned to help his cousin Jey Uso, and in the process challenged Reed to a match at the upcoming PLE.
The Vision is Seth Rollins’ new stable that includes Paul Heyman, Reed, and Breakker. Rollins and his group have been a thorn in Reigns’ side since WrestleMania 41, when Heyman helped screw over both Reigns and CM Punk and aligned him with The Architect. Several PLEs later, Rollins destroyed Punk’s dream of the WWE World Heavyweight Title after successfully cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase.
What Else Is Happening At Clash In Paris/Match Predictions?
Rollins will be defending the World Heavyweight Championship in a fatal four-way match that includes LA Knight, CM Punk, and Jey Uso.
The only other two confirmed matches are John Cena versus Logan Paul and Sheamus versus Rusev in a Good Ol’Fashioned Donnybrook match.
One match prediction could be Becky Lynch versus either Natalya or WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella with the Women’s Intercontinental Title on the line. Lynch has been feuding with both of them, first with Nikki and then with Natalya. The feud started after SummerSlam, when Nikki interrupted Becky’s promo and ended with her getting suckerpunched. That same night, Natalya, during a backstage segment, called out Lynch for her behavior, which started their feud. Lynch has also been harassing Natalya’s protégé, Maxxine Dupri.
As noted, Naomi relinquished the Women’s World Title after announcing she and Jimmy Uso are expecting their first baby together. So there could be a match concerning the vacated title, maybe a tournament or a Battle Royal? Anyway, Clash in Paris is taking place at the La Défense Arena on Sunday, August 31.
