WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley shared some exciting and “scary” news on Friday. The former WWE Women’s Champion is collaborating with one of the most popular horror franchises of the last twenty years — Terrifier.

Rhea Ripley And Hot Topic Come Together

Ripley shared on X, two shirts with her and the film’s diabolical villain, Art the Clown. One shirt also has Rhea with Art and Art’s “sidekick,” The Little Pale Girl, too. For horror and wrestling fans, the shirts are perfect. They are currently available on Hot Topic, though Rhea has warned they are selling fast. She wrote:

“GUYS!!! I have my own merch collab with Terrifier. Selling fast so make sure you grab one before they are gone.”

The gruesome and gory Terrifier franchise was created by director Damien Leone. Fans would meet Art for the first time in the horror anthology All Hallows’ Eve in 2013, and three years later, in 2016, Art was given his own movie. The first one had mixed reviews, but when the second one came out in 2022, featuring a teenage girl named Sienna, who battles Art, that’s when it really shone, and more people took notice. A third film was released in 2024 and broke the record of the highest-grossing unrated film in history.

A fourth film is planned, too, for which Ripley, in the past, has made it clear that she wants a part in the film. She said during a meet & greet:

“I would love that. I really liked Terrifier 3. I think that’s my favorite one out of all of them. Seeing Art dressed as Santa Claus is terrifying and amazing at the same time. But I want to be part of it. Kill me, please.”

Horror Movies And Wrestlers

Triple H Kane Horror Movies
Triple H and Kane both starred in Horror Movies.

AEW star and former WWE World Champion Chris Jericho is currently in the second and third Terrifier films. Just an example of how horror movies are pretty popular with wrestlers. Around the same time that Jericho was working with Art the Clown, WWE Superstar Liv Morgan guest-starred in the second season of Chucky.

WWE wrestler turned mayor, Kane, was in his own series of films as the horror villain Jacob Goodnight. The first film, See No Evil, was released in 2006, while the second one, See No Evil 2, was released in 2014. Even WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H dabbled in the horror genre. He starred as the vampire henchman Jarko Grimwood in Marvel’s 2004 film Blade Trinity. It was the third Blade movie in the franchise.

The late WWE Hall of Famer Roddy Piper starred in the popular 80s sci-fi horror They Live. The film was directed by horror icon John Carpenter, aka the guy who created the Halloween franchise. Another Hall of Famer, Diamond Dallas Page, starred as a bounty hunter in Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects.

So that’s just a few examples of wrestlers in horror movies (or TV series). Hopefully, Ripley gets her chance to star in one soon because she’s a great candidate for the genre.
