  • CM Punk kicked off the show with an impassioned promo regarding his loss of the World Heavyweight Championship at the hands of Seth Rollins. After promising to break Rollins’ legs for real this time, LA Knight interrupted and entered the ring. Knight said he had no issue with Punk but that he needed his shot at the title before Punk got his rematch. Paul Heyman interrupted with Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker and warned Knight about “giving favors” to Punk. Punk said he had enough and that he wanted a fight, and the tag team match was set.
  • IYO SKY was seen backstage, looking for an opponent after Naomi was reported to not be medically cleared for her match. Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez showed up to mock SKY, until Adam Pearce sanctioned a match between SKY and Perez.
  • Jey Uso appears in a backstage segment saying that he had to handle some family business last week and tells Seth Rollins he’s on notice. LA Knight appears and tells him that he doesn’t mind that Uso wants his rematch, but that the line for the title starts behind him. Uso says it doesn’t matter who he needs to get through, he’ll get his chance again.
  • Seth Rollins appears backstage with The Vision, and says he expected to deal with the CM Punk problem, but that LA Knight and Punk have problems with each other, and now that he knows Breakker and Reed are handling them, he’s leaving before the main event.
  • Bayley appears in a promo package video discussing her current position in WWE, talking about how she feels so alone with nothing to show. Her video ends with a maniacal laugh from her and a black screen, suggesting a darker, more tormented version of her may appear soon.
  • Stephanie Vaquer and Rhea Ripley speak to IYO SKY backstage. Vaquer tells her that she wasn’t the only one who was promised a title match, while Ripley asked SKY if she can trust the Kabuki Warriors. SKY tells Ripley to stay out of it.
  • After the main event ended in a no-contest, The Vision attacked Knight, Punk, and Jey Uso, building more toward the fatal four-way at Clash In Paris.

Maybe Karrion Kross Really Is Done In WWE

As much as we don’t want to believe that this is really happening, Karrion Kross may actually be done with WWE. Although there were multiple “We Want Kross” signs throughout the arena, there was no mention of him on WWE programming tonight, and there were no loud audible “We Want Kross” chants that were initially anticipated.

There’s been much speculation surrounding Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux’s contract status, which ended on August 10th, with its lead-up chronicled in “The Killer: Part 2” documentary. It remains to be seen what comes next with Kross, but we’re becoming less and less convinced that this isn’t an elaborate work, and more and more like real life.

Fatal Four Way Set For Clash In Paris

It’s official: Adam Pearce set a fatal four way for Clash In Paris: Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso, LA Knight, and CM Punk. All three have a valid claim to challenge Rollins for a shot, so it makes all the sense in the world to see them all challenge Rollins for a shot, but how they’ll be able to function against one another on their roads to WWE Gold remains to be seen.

It’s hard to imagine any other outcome other than Rollins retaining in Paris, as the Rollins/Punk feud heats up and stays white-hot. With Knight ready for his prime-time moment, Uso wanting his title back, Punk wanting blood, and Roman Reigns waiting in the wings, Seth Rollins needs to keep his head on a swivel for quite some time, and there’s no safe place for him to hide.

Maxxine Dupri Shows And Proves In First Championship Match In WWE

Screenshot 2025-08-11 at 9.57.43 PM

In a first for her in her WWE career, Maxxine Dupri got a big match with Becky Lynch for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship tonight, and showed off some impressive improvement in her in-ring ability. Training under the tutelage of Natalya, Dupri has come quite a way since being introduced as Max Dupri’s replacement in the Maximum Male Models gimmick.

While Lynch was victorious in the match, it certainly is a solid co-sign to see her face off with one of the most respected performers in the company, with another one in her corner. It remains to be seen how much farther she’ll go with Natalya in her corner, but she put on a solid outing for her first big moment.
