Tonight’s episode of Raw will be all about the fallout of WWE Backlash and building to the next Saturday Night’s Main Event which happens in two weeks on May 24th in Tampa Bay, Florida. Quite a few big names will be returning after being absent for a bit, so let’s see what WWE has planned for Raw tonight from Louisville, Kentucky at KFC Yum Center.

CM Punk Will Speak On WWE Raw
Prediction: CM Punk Will Lay Down A Challenge To John Cena
In the main event of Backlash this past Saturday, John Cena defeated Randy Orton to retain his WWE Championship. Although CM Punk was not on the show, he made his voice heard on Instagram with a post showing the graphic of “John Cena Is Still The Champ” which Punk added in text “for now”.

Every John Cena Vs CM Punk Match, Ranked From Worst To Best
John Cena & CM Punk had a ton of memorable matches in their WWE careers, and here we rank all of their one on one encounters from worst to best.
Now, Punk is set to speak on tonight’s Raw. Nearly 14 years after John Cena and CM Punk had their Money In The Bank 2011 classic, Money In The Bank 2025 seems like the perfect place for these two to have one final match together. Look for Punk to challenge Cena next.
Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky Vs. Giulia & Roxanne Perez
Prediction: Rhea Ripley & Iyo Sky Will Still Have Unresolved Heat From WrestleMania 41
Rhea Ripley was missing from Raw last week due to her doing media hype for Crown Jewel in Australia later this year, but she’s back this week to team with Iyo Sky against the two women who has been giving Sky and Ripley grief; Roxanne Perez and Giulia.
Despite teaming tonight, there’s still unresolved tension between the reigning World Women’s Champion and Ripley after Ripley failed to win against her at WrestleMania 41. I think Roxanne Perez and Giulia will work better as a duo and pick up the upset win against the babyface duo tonight.
AJ Styles Vs. Finn Balor
Prediction: Dominik Mysterio Will Somehow Cost Finn Balor A Win
AJ Styles hasn’t been in action since losing to Logan Paul at WrestleMania 41, but on last week’s Raw he made a promise that he was coming after Dominik Mysterio’s Intercontinental Championship. Citing the long history between Styles & Finn Balor (from their days in New Japan Pro Wrestling as part of the Bullet Club), Mysterio asked Balor to take care of Styles.
Although Mysterio retained his IC Title at Backlash against Penta, it was no thanks to Balor who botched his attempt to help Mysterio win with a steel chair. It was only because of El Grande Americano did Mysterio pick up the win. Expect the tension between Balor and Mysterio to rise again tonight as Styles will because of a botched interference from Dom Mysterio.
The Creed Brothers Vs. The War Raiders
Prediction: The New Day Will Ensure A Creed Brothers Win, But It Won’t Benefit Them
One of the biggest points of criticism in Triple H’s WWE has been the lack of interesting follow through on The New Day’s incredible heel turn back in December 2024. The Raw Tag Team division in general hasn’t been given much love in a bit but at the very least these two teams squaring off tonight is the kind of match that would Big E happy. If you know, you know.
The New Day gave a wink and a nod to Chad Gable last week that they would tip the scales in favor of The Creed Brothers tonight. If they attempt that, I can see Adam Pearce actually making a triple threat tag team match for World Tag Team Championships instead of giving a shot to the winner of tonight’s match.

Jey Uso Vs. Logan Paul Is A Terrible Start To Jey Uso’s World Heavyweight Title Reign
Jey Uso needs a big feud to establish his first run as the World Heavyweight Champion, but working with Logan Paul isn’t it.
As announced on WWE Backlash, World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso is set to face off against Logan Paul at Saturday Night’s Main Event in a title match two weeks from now. The two had a confrontation two weeks ago that ended with Uso superkicking Paul out of the ring. Paul had a similar storyline with Cody Rhodes last year, so expect the same story beats to be hit here.
Penta Vs. Chad Gable
Prediction: Penta Will Win Once Again Against Chad Gable
Back in January, Chad Gable failed to defeat Penta as the luchadore made his WWE debut on Raw. Since then, Gable has been on a mission to destroy Lucha Libre as he (seemingly) has adopted an alter ego as El Grande Americano, a masked wrestler who pretends to be a legend from Mexican wrestling history.
Americano cost Penta the Intercontinental Championship at Backlash by headbutting him off the top rope, and now Gable will take on Penta tonight. Gable, while performing under the name Chad Gable, has yet to pick up a win on Raw in 2025. Expect that to continue tonight.

But what about the show itself? Will it be any different? Does it matter what kind of subscription you have? Thankfully, no matter what kind of plan you use on Netflix, you’ll be able to watch Raw, just with more ads if you don’t have an ad-free plan. Triple H has confirmed that Raw will not be censored back in June 2024 (via The Pat McAfee Show):
Right now, just as an example of us being on Fox, if the crowd chants ‘Holy sh**,’ or something much worse, they just take that audio. Sometimes they take the picture and the audio off, and it’s just black screen… We won’t have those issues with Netflix. The ability to be live globally, the ability to have everything seen all at once everywhere, it’s a game-changing moment. While that doesn’t mean that the show is necessarily TV-14, you can kiss those annoying audio drops whenever someone curses or the crowd chants “Holy s**t!” goodbye. Since the move to Netflix, the show’s runtime has ran somewhere between two and three hours.
