Onana set to leave Man Utd for Trabzonspor

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana will leave the club and sign for Turkish side Trabzonspor on loan, according to the latest reports.

Onana, 29, lost his place at United and is yet to make an appearance in the Premier League this season, with his only action coming in the shocking League Cup defeat at League Two side Grimsby.

The Cameroon international cost United around £47m when he signed from Inter in the summer of 2023 but has looked unconvincing.

He has made 102 appearances for United and wass part of the team to win the FA Cup in 2024.

Turkish goalkeeper Altay Bayindir has played all three league games so far this season, while United signed highly-rated Belgian youngster Senne Lammens on deadline day.

Onana should make the move in time for him to make his debut against Fenerbahce on Sunday 14 September.

The transfer window in Turkey is open until this Friday. Trabzonspor finished seventh in Turkey last season and are managed by Fatih Tekke.
