To her credit, she was also featured in some pretty prominent storylines. However, it often felt like she was a supporting character to bigger names on the card.

Naomi was involved in partnerships with Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. She feuded with Tiffany Stratton and Damage CTRL. But it felt like all of those names were destined for bigger stories and opportunities. Meanwhile, Naomi was reliable in the ring and a good babyface, but she needed something to really elevate her to the next level. In late December 2024, she was finally inserted into that story.

Why Fans Should Expect Another WWE To AEW Wrestler Exodus

A few years ago, with fans upset about WWE’s creative direction, many wrestlers started leaving for AEW. Is it about to happen again?

Since turning heel, Naomi has been getting more and more opportunities to show what she can do. She competed in her first singles match at WrestleMania 41 against Cargill. Her character work and matches have been must-see, weekly television. This has all been great for Naomi and fans who have wanted to see her reach her full potential in WWE. But, in a recent interview with The Bella Twins, she stated that she intends on stepping away from the ring to begin a family sooner rather than later.

“Your girl is getting up there. I’m 37. Time. I’ve got to figure this out like yesterday. I’m asking myself and struggling with that question. I’m definitely leaning towards it, but I’ve had health issues. I only have one ovary. Even if I wanted to continue wrestling longer, my biological clock, I can’t. We got a lot to figure out.

I have to step away and take care of my health and myself. If we’re going to have kids, I have to start that process very soon. With that on my mind and on my plate, I think that makes my time left here even more special and valuable to me. That’s why I’m so passionate about what I’m doing because I think this might be it.” (h/t 411Mania)

With this in mind, if there is a time for WWE to really give Naomi that big-time push, it needs to happen soon. While she has been a champion before in WWE, a run at the top with this version of her character is something that should, and needs to, happen soon. She has shown that she is more than capable of being a top name in the division. Whether she gets a run as WWE Women’s Champion or WWE Women’s United States Champion, Naomi has more than earned that chance to be a top name in the company.
