Dvalishvili vs. O’Malley 2 took place June 7 at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. Merab Dvalishvili (19-4) and Sean O’Malley (18-3, 1 no- contest) squared off in the main event clash. The fight aired live on pay-per-view on ESPN+.

Round 1
Jason Herzog the third man in the cage for the main event.
O’Malley immediately takes the center of the octagon. Dvalishvili quick to return pressure as he bounces forward. O’Malley lands a quick punch to the body. Nice jab by O’Malley as Dvalishvili works to cut off the cage. Dvalishvili advances with a left hand. He lands another left. O’Malley back to the body.
Good front kick to the body by O’Malley. Dvalishvili with a takedown off a right hand. He sneaks in a few punches as O’Malley quickly works back to his feet, Dvalishvili still hanging off him.
O’Malley free, but slips off a wild knee. Fortunately, Dvalishvili not able to capitalize. Dvalishvili lands a punch and goes for a takedown as O’Malley circles away. Great balance from O’Malley who is doing everything to stay up, but Dvalishvili is just relentless and there’s another takedown.
Ground-and-pound from the champion. O’Malley gets his legs up to tie Dvalishvili up, Dvalishvili unrelenting. O’Malley gets up to end the round on his feet, but Dvalishvili does what he does best: wins rounds.

Round 2
Dvalishvili does a full circle of the octagon to start Round 2. There is no slowing down this guy. Dvalishvili comes forward and eats a punch to the body. O’Malley to the body again, but Dvalishvili makes him pay with a combo up high. Good right by O’Malley in response.
Dvalishvili with a glancing left. He’s staying right in O’Malley’s face. O’Malley lands a counter as Dvalishvili rushes in and goes for a takedown. Well-defended by O’Malley, who keeps this one standing. O’Malley sneaking in body shots as they jockey for position in the cage.
Dvalishvili with another takedown attempt, O’Malley blocks it. Dvalishvili scores with a right hand as O’Malley circles away. He rushes in again and lands a right then goes for a takedown. O’Malley with some amazing defense as Dvalishvili comes at him from a number of angles. O’Malley with a right, both men missing in a wild follow-up exchange.
That round could have gone either way.

Round 3
Dvalishvili with an early takedown attempt this time but he eats a counter punch for his troubles. He goes in again and just dumps O’Malley to the mat! Unstoppable.
O’Malley busy from the bottom, but Dvalishvili is just drowning him. Even though nothing big is landing, O’Malley has almost no avenue from which to stand or attack off his back. Crowd growing restless as O’Malley is just stuck.
O’Malley fighting to stand with less than two minutes in the round. Dvalishvili still locked on to him. Trip by Dvalishvili, he twists his hips, and down goes O’Malley. The challenger fighting hard to get up, but Dvalishvili puts him back down.
Dvalishvili with a choke attempt. O’Malley is being squeezed at an awful angle. And there it is, he has to tap!
