Macaulay Culkin’s Dream Wrestling Card

There are many notable celebrities who are fans of WWE, and several of those can be seen in WWE’s audiences across both weekly shows and premium live events from time to time. Actor Macaulay Culkin is one of the more prominent professional wrestling fans who always gets a nice pop when he shows up in the crowd. He recently appeared on Hot Ones and was asked about his dream match card as he battled some hot wings, selecting some wild dream matches and big showdowns between stars of different generations, spotlighting three major dream bouts that he’d book on his show.

Shawn Michaels and Ricky Steamboat are two of the cleanest and crispest in-ring workers in the entire history of professional wrestling, so it is of little surprise that Macaulay Culkin would feature these two Hall of Famers in a blockbuster match. This isn’t just a normal match though, as Culkin wants the two to compete in a ladder match – a stipulation that Michaels helped to make famous with his classics against Razor Ramon at both WrestleMania and SummerSlam. Michaels and Steamboat were each two men who could incorporate top rope moves and high-flying into their offense, but they never needed to rely on it to tell a story and steal a show.

“I would do Shawn Michaels vs. Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat in a ladder match.”

Ricky Steamboat, due to the era he wrestled in, never ended up competing in a ladder match throughout his wrestling career, though there is little doubt that he would adapt to the stipulation with absolute ease and quality. When seeing Steamboat in the ring back in 2022 after twelve years away from the ring and Michaels in the ring in 2018 over eight years of no action, it isn’t outside the realm of possibility that in 2025 Michaels and Steamboat would have a fine match, even if they are 60 and 72 respectively.

Brock Lesnar Vs. Andre The Giant

Brock Lesnar going up against Andre the Giant was the next pick by Macaulay Culkin, and this would certainly be a blockbuster clash between two larger-than-life competitors. Lesnar often worked best against smaller opponents such as Eddie Guerrero, Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, and more, but he did put in some strong showings with The Big Show, which is the best example of what a match between Lesnar and Andre could look like. Lesnar did also face Omos at WrestleMania 39 in a decent matchup.

“I would love to see peak Andre vs. Brock Lesnar in a hoss match.”

Lesnar, despite his sheer size, is able to bump and sell better than almost anyone, so he’d bumble around the ring and make Andre look like an unstoppable giant. He also has the insane mix of size and speed to do enough to throw around the seven-foot icon with suplexes and F5s.

CM Punk Vs. Randy Savage

CM Punk is clearly a big fan of the ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage, often paying homage to him with a double point to the sky before dishing out a top rope elbow drop – the iconic finishing move and taunt of Savage himself. These two are each considered two of the greatest in-ring wrestlers of all time, but also had a world-class knock of storytelling and mic work, bringing fantastic charisma to their promos in addition to stealing the show in the ring.

“I would love to see an improv guy like CM Punk in a Steel Cage match against a guy who is so studious like Randy Savage. They would f***ing hate each other. If I was booking a card, I think I would have a lot of fun.”

Macaulay Culkin has Savage and Punk facing off on his dream match card inside a Steel Cage, adding to the tension and promising blood and violence. Punk has faced various names inside a Steel Cage including Chris Jericho, Jeff Hardy, and Jerry Lawler during his career. Savage has his own history between four sides of steel, battling The Honky Tonk Man, Ted DiBiase, Ric Flair, Diamond Dallas Page, The Ultimate Warrior and Hulk Hogan inside the structure. Punk and Savage would clash well, that’s for sure.
