Lyra Valkyria Needs To Be The Next Womens World Champion

WWE’s women’s roster is loaded with talent right now, which undoubtedly makes deciding who should be the next Women’s World Champion a tough choice for Triple H, even with two titles to choose from. There are a lot of great wrestlers right now who could benefit from holding one of those titles, and there are plenty of established stars like Bianca Belair and Bayley who could easily slot into that role. However, there is currently one WWE Superstar who deserves it more than most for multiple reasons, and that’s Lyra Valkyria. The former Women’s Intercontinental Champion is ready to step up to the next level as a performer, and WWE’s creative team needs to ensure she’s next in line to make the most of her as a talent.

Out of everybody on the current WWE roster, it should be Valkyria who is pushed into the position of being the Women’s World Champion next. She has all the tools to take on the responsibility, and the WWE Universe is now invested in her, which makes it the perfect mix for more success if the company is willing to give her the opportunity.

Valkyria is a strong in-ring talent who can hold her own against anyone in the company, which she has proven repeatedly since joining the main roster. Meanwhile, her look and gimmick work, her entrance gets fans involved, and Valkyria is able to deliver entertaining and heated promos that are filled with emotions.

She’s someone who performs at the top level of WWE, and that should be rewarded with the biggest prize in the sport. Valkyria is at that stage where she’s ready for the next challenge, and proving herself as a World Champion would certainly provide that for her, all while giving Valkyria a new test to try and prove herself as a talent at that standard.

Momentum Is Behind Lyra Valkyria After Feuding With Becky Lynch

  • Valkyria has risen her level as a performer due to working against Lynch.
  • She has been able to work lengthy matches to showcase her talent to fans.
  • Valkyria has also been able to work with Bayley, who could be her next rival.

So far, WWE has done a great job building up Valkyria to make her a competitive star that people care about, with her feud against Becky Lynch having done wonders for her standing in the eyes of the WWE Universe. Lynch is one of the biggest stars in the company; therefore, going toe-to-toe with her for several months is unlikely to hurt.

However, the fact that their feud over the Women’s Intercontinental Title has been so competitive means that audiences have really cared about Valkyria. She’s delivered excellent performances in the ring and held her own with Lynch on the microphone, proving that she’s capable against the very best that WWE has to offer.

There’s tons of momentum behind Valkyria right now because of that, and it’s something that WWE needs to make the most of. Rather than having to start all over again in the future, attempting to get fans invested in Valkyria after she’s cooled off, WWE should strike while she’s hot. With the fans totally behind her and wanting to see more, now is the time to keep building her up, so that when a title change needs to take place, she’s the obvious option.

WWE Needs To Create Fresh Main Event Stars

  • WWE needs new stars to grow the women’s division.
  • Valkyria is young enough to be pushed for the foreseeable future.
  • She has the qualities to be a main event player for WWE.

WWE has a great roster at the moment that’s filled with stars, but the company can never have enough. Wrestlers often get hurt, as Liv Morgan’s recent injury proved. Therefore, having as many top-tier stars ready to compete at the highest level possible is important, especially those who can be involved in World title storylines.

That is the level that Valkyria has reached, but if WWE truly wants to cement that, then she needs to actually capture a title at that level. If the company can create another genuine World Champion with Valkyria, then it will benefit the entire division, whether she holds the title or not.

It means that in the future, when she loses the title, fans would react to her in the same way, which instantly makes the entire division feel more important. That is how women’s wrestling has grown so much in the past decade, and if it’s to continue on that front, then more stars are needed, which is a gap that Valkyria can easily fill.
