Mic skills are just as important as in-ring skills in WWE. Sometimes, the best wrestlers can be the best in the ring, but if they can’t connect with the crowd and get over, then their career is either stalled or completely done. Lucky for Jacob Fatu, he has Solo Sikoa, even if they are currently feuding, to help with work on his promos. So far, his tips seem to be working for the Samoan Werewolf.
Jacob Fatu On How Solo Sikoa Has Helped Him In WWE
It was just a few days ago when the two former Bloodline stablemates faced each other in a Steel Cage match for the United States Title on Night Two of SummerSlam. Sikoa ended up retaining the title. He has been the champion since he defeated Fatu at WWE Night of Champions back in June. Anyway, while a guest on Pete Rosenberg’s Cheap Heat podcast, Fatu explained how Solo (and a little advice from Tama Tonga) helped him overcome his anxiety about speaking more on WWE TV.
“I didn’t expect anything. I just grew up to play my position, play my role, and do my thing. I never try to overstep on anybody or nothing. Talking was my weakest point. On the indies, we get away with cussing. I wasn’t comfortable talking. Not at all. Then, they started letting me speak. I remember Tama telling me, ‘Just talk like yourself. Be yourself. Some of the stuff you’re saying, ain’t nobody saying your slang.’ Shout-out to Triple H. It started off small with a couple of lines here. Solo has actually been a big help on my promos. Everything you see me and Solo doing, he’s been more than helpful.” (h/t: Fightful)
So while there is bad blood in the ring, Fatu has to give a little credit to his cousin. There is definitely a change in confidence from when Fatu first debuted on the June 21, 2024, episode of WWE SmackDown to now.
After SummerSlam, What’s Next For The Jacob Fatu & Solo Sikoa Feud?
The feud between the two started after Fatu betrayed Sikoa at the June 2025 Money in the Bank PLE. It might have been Sikoa cashing in on CM Punk at SummerSlam instead of Seth Rollins. Fatu allowed Rollins to win the match and get the briefcase after he put Solo through a ladder with his own move, the Spinning Solo. Granted, before that, there were cracks in their relationship, starting back in February.
With the next PLE, Clash In Paris, on the horizon, could Fatu get a rematch? If not, he should at least get his hands on either Talla Tonga, Tonga Loa, or JC Mateo, since they were the ones that cost him the SummerSlam match. It’s not entirely out of the question that he could team up with one of the Usos and face Sikoa with a partner. It’ll be interesting to see what happens till then.
