Indians in County Championship: Sai Kishore chips in with bat and ball for Surrey vs Yorkshire

R Sai Kishore was in the action with both bat and ball in Surrey’s match against Yorkshire in the County Championship.

The Tamil Nadu all-rounder came to the crease with his side 55 runs behind and produced a 19-ball 18 with one six and one four to help Surrey take a first-innings lead.

Sai Kishore then took two wickets in Yorkshire’s second innings to complement his first innings haul, removing Finlay Bean and James Wharton as the match petered out to a draw. The left-arm spinner ended with match figures of 59.3-14-172-4.

Khaleel Ahmed was not able to add to his wicket tally for Essex as it wrapped up a massive innings victory over Sussex. He finished the match with figures of 25-2-110-3.

Tilak Verma’s century (112) was enough to see Hampshire to a draw against Nottinghamshire, although the southpaw was not required with bat or ball on the final day of the match.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Northamptonshire were unable to hold out for a draw against Middlesex, with the leg-spinner scoring an enterprising 20 from 19 balls before being the final wicket to fall. Chahel toiled in his bowling innings, managing 0 for 175 from 43 overs.
