The left arm seamer bagged two of the three wickets for England Lions on the first day. He used his swing movement to account for Yashavi Jaiswal early in the innings. His second wicket of Sarfaraz Khan was more down to the batter’s fault, but Hull reaped the reward for persisting with his lines outside the off stump.

It was one-way traffic on the first day of the unofficial Test. Karun Nair’s unbeaten 186 led the visitor to a daunting first day score. He got solid support from Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel, with the latter still at the crease on 82.
