A determined India batted with grit and forced England to shake hands for a draw in a Test that the host dominated for the first three days at Old Trafford in Manchester on Sunday.
Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, and Shubman Gill scored centuries while KL Rahul fell on 90 to help India get a favourable result after being down none for two inside the first five balls, trailing 311 runs.
The series now stands 2-1 in favour of England with one more match to play at The Oval starting July 31.
