How many humans are needed take down a gorilla in a fight? This question has been on the tongues of many across the internet in recent weeks… but it is a whole different ball game when it comes to WWE wrestlers stepping up to the plate to take on a silverback. We shall take a look at this question to determine how many WWE wrestlers it would in fact take to pin a gorilla to the mat for a one, two, three, and perhaps even take one out for a full ten count. Not just that, but we will put together the best unit we can think of to try and take down such a dominant force.
One Gorilla Vs. Human Beings Has Been A Big Internet Talking Point
Like many strange and weird questions across the internet, the question of who would win in a fight between a certain number of men and one gorilla went viral, taking social media by storm as many engaged in discussions, arguments and more. The initial idea of 100 humans struggling against a gorilla was one that was debunked pretty quickly when taking a deep dive into how strong a gorilla actually is, and just how many “100 people” truly are. Regardless of size or strength, swarming one gorilla with that many people would be way too much for it to handle.

Scott Hall Once Killed A Man Before His Wrestling Days
Scott Hall is one of the most popular wrestlers of all-time, but his career nearly didn’t happen due to one terrifying night.
When looking at this situation from a logical standpoint, (yes, we know it is completely illogical!) a squad of strong human beings working together to tactically take down a silverback gorilla would likely do the job with a number of between five and ten, depending on the gorilla and the people involved. They would, of course, have to be trained, plan their course of action going in, and hope that they can survive long enough to ensure that the others in their team can do the job. A more average set of people would likely require plenty more – perhaps ten to fifteen – but even then, there is no guarantee of what would occur, particularly if the gorilla simply takes the individuals apart one by one. A much more interesting added extra to this discussion would be to include WWE wrestlers.
Which WWE Superstars Would Take Down A Gorilla?
- Larger-than-life wrestlers would be needed to take down a gorilla.
- Brock Lesnar was not just a wrestler, but a UFC Champion.
- Jacob Fatu and Bron Breakker have the speed and strength.
When approaching this gorilla conundrum, selecting WWE wrestlers should be based mostly around mass. You need weight and strength to take down a gorilla and be able to withstand their superhuman strength that would throw off the average human. For this reason, we need those larger-than-life cyborgs who have a massive amount of mass and aggression to match that of a wild animal. Brock Lesnar is the name that instantly comes into the discussion – the WWE wrestler with an unmatched level of both size and speed, and someone who proved himself to be a legit tough guy, winning not only WWE World Title gold, but the UFC Heavyweight Title too.
Lesnar on his own would likely put up a good fight, but he needs some backup. For this reason, we have enlisted the help of Jacob Fatu – WWE’s crazed Samoan who also carries that unhinged clash of speed and strength. Bron Breakker is also brought in too, due to his wild speed, which could serve as a great distraction to the gorilla as the others around it circle and pounce. We’d also love to see Bron Breakker try and use his signature spear on a gorilla, though we aren’t sure it will work as well as it did to the likes of IShowSpeed in the 2025 Royal Rumble match.

Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, and Rusev round out our squad of current WWE wrestlers, bringing to the table their friendship and cohesion to work well as a unit – not to mention the sheer size and strength of all three men too. We believe six of these beastly WWE wrestlers would be enough to take down a gorilla, though it would not be without causality, nor would it be easy by any means. If we’re taking some creative liberties, we’ll also draft in AEW’s Darby Allin too, just to see what lengths he’d go to in order to take down the gorilla – not to mention it would be enjoyable to see the fearless and death-defying wrestler bump around for the gorilla. If TKO wants to sell next year’s WrestleMania, then book the gorilla!
Admittedly, if we were taking into account former WWE wrestlers, then we’d just throw Haku into the mix and the gorilla would be down-and-out in seconds.
