How Alexa Bliss Has Given Charlotte Flair a New Lease on Life

Charlotte Flair has always been a contentious WWE Superstar, but Alexa Bliss is currently bringing the best out of her as part of their unexpected new tag team. The idea of Flair and Bliss pairing up in 2025 wasn’t something that many fans predicted, but this odd couple has ended up winning over the WWE Universe, and the Queen is the one gaining the most from this.

The Queen has had countless classics over the years. Here are the five that have defined her WWE run.

The duo is still finding its feet as a tag team, and there is a lot of work to be done if they want to end up as Women’s Tag Team champions at some point in the future. However, Triple H’s decision to put them together is already looking like a smart one, particularly where Flair is concerned.

  • The WWE Universe didn’t warmly welcome Flair back from injury
  • Her feud against Tiffany Stratton was a disaster
  • Flair opened up in an emotional letter to the fans

Flair is one of the most talented wrestlers in WWE. However, when attempting to get over as a babyface, her return from injury and subsequent victory at this year’s Royal Rumble backfired spectacularly and thus Flair has been finding it challenging to get fans onboard with her return arc.

The WWE Universe knows the Queen brings a healthy amount of star power and presence to the product, but her character had simply run stale. Her storyline against Tiffany Stratton didn’t help matters as the two women never got on the same page. They had awkward segments, and their Women’s Title match at WrestleMania 41 was clunky at best, albeit with an impressive level of physicality.

After months of struggling, WWE began running a storyline with Flair and Bliss, in which the latter tried to establish a tag team. WWE Has Never Addressed Charlotte Flair’s Biggest Flaw

Charlotte Flair’s return to WWE has been a disaster that the company should have seen coming due to the Queen’s lack of connection to the fans.

It has been clear that Flair is enjoying the partnership. There have been many moments where she seems to have broken character and smiled as she appears to be genuinely having fun. That comes across on television, and when she’s more relaxed, Flair can tap into the character work and focus on her wrestling, which will always prove popular with fans.

Evolution proved how well this partnership has worked because the live crowd in Atlanta was totally behind the new duo every step of the way during Sunday night’s Women’s Tag Title fatal four-way. Flair’s hot tag was arguably the highlight of the Women’s Tag Team title match, with fans fully accepting her in this new role. WWE continued the storyline development as Flair saved Bliss mid-match, and it’s clear that WWE knows they have a great foundation to build on moving forward.

Charlotte Flair’s Career Has Been Salvaged By Alexa Bliss

  • Flair now has the fans back on her side for her to build on
  • It’s hard to see how Flair would’ve continued as she was
  • WWE now has the option to use her as a babyface again

While Flair was always going to be pushed by WWE due to her enormous talent, dedication to her craft and astounding athleticism, Bliss has salvaged her career in many ways. Had she kept fighting against the crowd, there would have eventually been a breaking point that might have led to Flair burning out and opting to walk away, which is the last thing people want to see from someone who has given so much to the business over the last decade or more.

The 14 time World Champion can start working her way back to the top of the card again in WWE with a fanbase that is actively wanting to see her return to her glory days. Pulling Charlotte away from the singles division was the right call. While she can eventually reach that point again, Flair will do so steadily and organically with great performances and entertaining character work.
