Ilkay Gundogan has left Manchester City on a free transfer to sign for Turkish club Galatasaray.
The 34-year-old signed for City for a second time this time last year and made 33 Premier League appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side last season.
But with the arrival of Tijjani Reijnders and the return to fitness of Rodri the Germany international has fallen out of the picture and has not featured for City this season.
Gundogan was born in Germany but has Turkish family and wanted to play in the country before he retires.
Galatasaray wanted to sign Gundogan before Tuesday night’s Champions League deadline.
