WWE headed to the Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada for the August 11 Monday Night RAW, continuing the fallout from the events that happened at SummerSlam, and pushing forward as the build to Clash in Paris 2025 takes shape. There was plenty that fans loved about this week’s episode of Monday Night RAW as several feuds continued and wrestlers battled it out. LA Knight had a strong showing across the night, a standout women’s match took place, and a super fun tag team match opened the show.

AJ Styles & Dragon Lee Vs. Dominik Mysterio & El Grande Americano Delivers
- A preview of AAA TripleMania on Saturday.
- El Grande Americano & Dominik Mysterio cheated their way to victory.
- The in-ring work was effortlessly good.
It is no surprise that when you put four great competitors in the ring that a very fun and entertaining bout takes place. The in-ring work was crisp and clean, full of strong sequences and good character work (in the case of both El Grande Americano and Dominik Mysterio). In many ways this was a preview of what fans can expect at AAA’s TripleMania 33 show on Saturday, as three of these men will step in the ring with El Hijo Del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship.
Americano attempted to use a metal plate to pick a cheap win, but it was knocked out of his hands by AJ Styles. Mysterio grabbed the plate, pulled out his own mask, and shoved the plate into it, hitting Styles with a cheap shot, which allowed Americano to score a notable pinfall.
A Gimmick Change Incoming For Bayley
- Bayley cut a promo in a video package on RAW.
- She reflected on all of her recent failures.
- A new character direction was teased for the multi-time champion.
Bayley only featured on Monday Night RAW for a minute or so, but it was an important step to propel her back up the card on the red brand. After several big losses to the likes of Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria, mistakes, and growing frustration, she cut a promo on RAW that was stoic, eerie, and suggested that she is set to snap at some point soon.
This couldn’t have come sooner for Bayley, who has struggled to find her feet over the last year, ever since dropping the WWE Women’s Title at SummerSlam 2024. She desperately needed something new, and RAW began the next step in making that a reality for someone who should really be right at the top of the division.
Roxanne Perez Vs. Iyo Sky Steals The Show
- Iyo Sky vs. Naomi was canceled on RAW due to the champ not being cleared.
- WWE replaced this with Roxanne Perez vs. Iyo Sky.
- It was the best match on Monday Night RAW this week.
The best match on Monday Night RAW was between Iyo Sky and Roxanne Perez, which replaced the scheduled Naomi vs. Iyo Sky match due to an injury to the Women’s World Champion. Despite this last minute change, Perez and Sky put on a very enjoyable contest that stole the show on RAW.
They displayed top-tier chemistry, the audience was super invested in the action, and they went back and forth with an unpredictable bout, ending when Asuka and Kairi Sane tried to get involved, but ultimately ended up costing Sky the match as Perez rolled her up in an upset.
LA Knight In The Main Event Scene
- LA Knight faced off with CM Punk to start RAW.
- Knight has been on fire the last few weeks.
- He has a world title match at Clash in Paris.
LA Knight hasn’t been in the main event world title scene in WWE since the back end of 2023 and start of 2024, but he retained his popularity throughout that whole time. Many wanted to see Knight win a world title, but that failed to come to fruition. However, the last two weeks has seen him involved in challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship, wanting revenge against Seth Rollins, and going toe-to-toe with CM Punk on the microphone, and he has looked right at home in the process.
Knight and Punk would then team in the main event of the show, taking on Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker. The bout did admittedly end in a frustrating disqualification as Seth Rollins made his presence known, but this led to the title match announcement for Clash in Paris 2025 – Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk vs. LA Knight vs. Jey Uso. It is great to see LA Knight in the mix with three former world champions ahead of a premium live event.
