On Friday, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced changes to its men’s team squads for the upcoming T20I series against South Africa and Ireland.
Opener Ben Duckett will be rested for the three-match T20I series against the Proteas, which will begin on September 10. The two sides have one more match left in the three-match One-Day International series, where the South Africans are leading 2-0.
All-rounder Sam Curran has been added to both the England T20I squads for the matches against South Africa and Ireland.
Meanwhile, seamer Matthew Potts has been released from the squad set to face Ireland, allowing him to represent Durham in the Rothesay County Championship.
