India Women won a bilateral series against England women for the first time after they took an insurmountable 3-1 series victory with a six-wicket victory over the host in the 4th T20I at the Old Trafford Ground on Friday.
The Women in Blue, in the lead-up to this series, had failed to beat the English in a series either at home or away. The current series is the fourth between the two sides to be played in England.

While they had not won a series in England until now, India Women did defeat their English opponents in a one-off T20I at Derby in 2006. Chasing a paltry 108, Rumeli Dhar took her side home with an undefeated 66.
India Women will now be looking to consolidate its lead in the final match of the series in Birmingham. The two sides will then face off in a three match ODI series from 16 July onwards.
