ENG vs IND: India registers its second-highest successful chase in Women’s ODIs


The Indian women’s team registered its second-highest successful chase in One Day Internationals during its first ODI against England on Wednesday at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton.

The Women in Blue chased down the target of 259 to take a lead in the three-match ODI series against the English hosts.

India’s previous second-highest successful chase was in 2022 against New Zealand when it chased down 252 in Queenstown. The side’s highest successful chase remains reaching the 265-run target against Australia in 2021 in Mackay.

This was also the third-highest successful chase in women’s ODIs on English soil by any team.
