The ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series between England and India equalled the record for the most individual centuries scored in a single Test series.
The engrossing five-match series has witnessed 21 individual tons, going level with a Test series held between Australia and West Indies in 1955.
India skipper Shubman Gill leads the charge with four hundreds, followed by Joe Root, who has three tons to his name in this series. KL Rahul, Harry Brook, Rishabh Pant, and Yashasvi Jaiswal have scored two centuries each. At the same time, Ben Duckett, Jamie Smith, Washington Sundar, Ravindra Jadeja, Ben Stokes and Ollie Pope have one hundred each.
Of the 21 centuries in the series, 12 have been scored by Indians, while nine have come off the bat of the host’s batters.
