The Eagles were demoted from the Europa League a few weeks ago, but now reap the benefits of being one of the favourites to win the competition.
West Ham and Chelsea have both already lifted the trophy, and the Eagles will be looking to build on the success of last season, even if Eberechi Eze is only watching from the stands ahead of his move to Arsenal.
He will still likely receive an emotional farewell, having been the man to score the winner in last season’s FA Cup final win against Manchester City.
