Bronson Reed’s Big Break in Paris

WWE’s Clash in Paris is the next major premium live event for the company, and Adam Pearce has now confirmed a major singles match for the event as Roman Reigns is set to collide against Bronson Reed. It promises to be a hard-hitting encounter that will grip fans from start to finish, and comes after Reed has consistently been a problem for Reigns in recent weeks on WWE television.

Reed has become the Tribal Thief ever since Reigns started getting involved with The Vision, as he has stolen multiple pairs of Reigns’ sneakers. It has pushed the personality of the former NXT star while also adding some real heat between the two of them before they compete against each other in France. Although having a singles bout against Reigns is a big endorsement for Reed, WWE now needs to go one step further by establishing him with a win.

WWE has done a good job with Reed ever since he was brought to the main roster. He dominated everyone in sight before suffering his ankle injury, and since returning, he’s picked up where he left off, all while being pushed even more as a member of WWE’s newest and most dominant faction, The Vision.

Getting to interact with all of WWE’s top stars is not only going to make him a better wrestler, but fans will see him in a different light. He has been the main wrestler dealing with Roman Reigns lately, and that’s a huge spot to be in. Not only is Reigns one of WWE’s biggest stars, but he is also not around often; therefore, anyone who gets booked against him is instantly put into a bigger spotlight.

However, competing against Reigns is one thing, and defeating him is something totally different. Bronson Reed is growing as a performer and becoming someone who WWE fans can take seriously, but if the company truly wants to push him and invest in Reed, then he needs to go on and defeat Reigns. This would be a significant statement and a sign of intent about how WWE views Reed’s career progressing, as a win would instantly elevate him to a new level.

A Bronson Reed Victory Will Benefit WWE In Multiple Ways

Roman Reigns The Tribal Chief

  • WWE would be able to write Reigns off television.
  • Reed’s abilty as a monster heel would rise dramatically.
  • It adds more value to the Tribal Chief’s feud against The Vision.

Very few people are able to defeat Roman Reigns, as WWE typically books him to be almost invincible. That is why a win for Bronson Reed would allow fans to take him more seriously, which would ultimately benefit WWE in the long run. The company would be able to book him in different ways, which would strengthen the overall show.

On top of that, there is a high chance that Reigns will go away again following this match, likely returning for WWE Survivor Series. He needs to film his part in Street Fighter, so having Reed win and then destroy Reigns would make a big impact. It can serve the purpose of taking Roman off television for a while and make Reed seem like a total monster.

Reed winning and taking Reigns out would also stretch the inevitable match between Reigns and Seth Rollins. That’s what WWE is building toward, but by first building Reed up as a major threat, it allows the eventual payoff to be even bigger.

Bronson Reed Needs To Prove His Worth In The Vision

  • Reed winning would elevate his value to The Vision.
  • Strengthening the stable would improve their overall storylines.
  • WWE needs a new resident monster heel.

Adding Bronson Reed to The Vision was a smart move due to his obvious talent, and there’s no doubt that WWE sees big things in his future. That is why he’s been booked in the manner that he has over the years, but when it comes to this group, it does feel like he’s seen as the weakest member.

Paul Heyman is an established legend, Seth Rollins is the obvious leader and one of WWE’s biggest stars, while Bron Breakker is being positioned as the future of the company. Out of the two younger stars in the group, Breakker is the man fans are seeing as a future World champion, and he is being put in the spotlight to be the breakout star. That has left Reed filling the gap of just being the muscle, who is there to take out other rivals and leave them lying after hitting a Tsunami.

However, Reed is worth much more than that. If WWE books things right, there’s no reason why he cannot go on to achieve just as much success as Breakker. He can easily be a future main event player for the company, as his in-ring work is excellent and he has an established gimmick.

That is where a victory against someone as well-established as Reigns could make all the difference. It would instantly place him in another stratosphere, and that would increase his value to not only The Vision but WWE.
