Bangladesh on Friday announced its squad for the upcoming Asia Cup, to be played in the United Arab Emirates from September 9 to 28.
This squad will also feature against the Netherlands in a three-match T20I series before the multi-nation event.
Litton Das, who led Bangladesh to its maiden T20I series win against Sri Lanka followed by a series victory over Pakistan at home in July, will continue at the helm.
Nurul Hasan, who last played a T20I for Bangladesh during the T20 World Cup in 2022, is the major inclusion for the eight-team tournament.
The seasoned Mehidy Hassan Miraz did not find a place in the main team, while Soumya Sarkar could only make the standbys. Former captain Najmul Hossain Shanto was also missing from the side.
Bangladesh is placed in Group B along with Afghanistan, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka, while Group A comprises India, Pakistan, Oman and host UAE.
