A Look At Apollo Crews’ Injury Journey
Crews has been out of action since early 2025. He suffered a torn pec while in a match against Johnny Gargano during the January 24 episode of SmackDown. He continued the match and ended winning with a roll-up.
In the video, Crews is seen training alongside indie wrestler Eli Knight at WWE Superstar Natalya and WWE producer Tyson Kidd’s Dungeon training facility. So while a date has yet to be revealed when Crews will return to the ring, things are looking good for him.
Crews has been with WWE since 2015. He made his main roster debut in April 2016, though later in his career, in 2022, he made his return to NXT for a year until he was drafted back to the main roster.
Along with the Intercontinental Championship, Crews has also held the WWE United States Championship.
WWE Is Dealing With Plenty Of Injuries
Sadly, Crews is part of a long list of WWE Superstars who are currently on the injured list. At the moment, Ilja Dragunov is out of action due to a torn ACL at a WWE Live Event in Columbus, Georgia, while Liv Morgan is out of action because of a shoulder injury that happened during her match against IYO SKY on the June 16 episode of Raw.
Also, Zoey Stark is out of action due to a serious knee injury that she sustained during the May 19 episode of WWE Raw. She later confirmed that she had torn her ACL, MCL, and meniscus. The incident occurred when Stark attempted a high-risk missile dropkick from the top rope.
Kevin Owens underwent neck surgery on July 18. He had announced on the April 4 episode of SmackDown that he was going to be out of action for an extended period of time because of his neck. Even before losing to CM Punk at SummerSlam, there were reports that Gunther was dealing with a nose injury. It was later announced on Raw that he had suffered a septal hematoma and orbital blowout fracture and would be out of action for some time.
Other wrestlers that are currently on the injured list include Otis, Tama Tonga, Elton Prince, Noam Dar, WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, and Chad Gable. So hopefully, each wrestler on the list gets healthy and back in the ring soon.
