Carlos Alcaraz has returned to the summit of men’s tennis. The Spaniard reclaimed the No.1 spot in the ATP rankings on Monday following his US Open triumph in New York, ending Jannik Sinner’s 65-week reign at the top. It marks the first time Alcaraz has held the top ranking since September 2023.
Alcaraz’s victory over Sinner in the US Open final not only secured his sixth major title but also ended Sinner’s dominant streak, shifting the balance of power once again. Novak Djokovic, who reached the semifinals in New York, also rose three spots to No.4, reasserting his place among the game’s elite.
Several other players made significant moves after the Flushing fortnight: Jan-Lennard Struff surged 46 spots to No.98, Arthur Rinderknech jumped 25 places to No.57, and Adrian Mannarino climbed 22 places to No.55.
