Bangladesh will play ODI and T20I series against Afghanistan in the United Arab Emirates in October, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Sunday.
The two teams will play a three-match T20I series in Sharjah from October 2 to 5 before moving to Abu Dhabi for the three-game ODI series, which runs from October 8 to 14.
“We look forward to taking on Afghanistan in what promises to be a competitive and exciting white-ball series in the UAE. This tour not only presents valuable competition following the Asia Cup but also reflects the mutual respect and strong relationship between our two cricket boards,” said Nizamuddin Chowdhury, CEO of BCB.
The two teams are also pooled together in Group of the upcoming Asia Cup, along with Sri Lanka and Hong Kong.
Afghanistan would look to continue its good run at its new base in the UAE, where it beat South Africa 2-1 in an ODI series in September 2024. The Afghan Atalan has also defeated Bangladesh in an ODI series in the UAE.
